Week 3

Wow Cathedral!...Our 1-day revival last night was energizing and inspirational. Our COLCC 21-day consecration began Monday, January 10. We are now heading into week 3 and it we will conclude on Sunday, January 30, 2022. This fast is an opportunity for our ministry to begin the year by consecrating our minds, bodies and spirits. This year’s theme is: Mission IsPossible. We've been asking God to rally Cathedral as a congregation so we will be successful and become mission- minded. This consecration is also a time for increased discipline and personal devotion to Christ. 

During these remaining 7 days, follow the prescribed fast as outlined for each day.

Note: If you have any specific medical or dietary requirements, make sure you consult your physician first.

Set aside 30 minutes each day for prayer, focusing on the weekly topics that have been provided. Feel free to pray for anything in addition to these topics, as you are led. Also consider keeping a personal journal of your 21-day experience. You will be able to track how God partners with you during consecration.


Prayer Focus for Week 3

Focus on Revival, Mental Health, Finances, Restoration of Families, COLCC's 2022 Theme

Focus on Revival: Yesterday's revival was great. Continue to pray and focus on revival. We're gaining momentum and we want to make ourselves available for the direction God is taking us.

Mental Health: It's easy to see if we've picked up a little weight or need to adjust our diet but our mental health can often be over looked. With so much going on--the pandemic, division, uncertainty and more--pray for mental wellness for yourself and those around you.

Finances: As important as our spiritual connection with God is, we also need to be good stewards over the finances that God entrusts us with. Pray that we are putting ourselves in position to receive finances and that we gain the wisdom to handle those finances as God intends.

Restoration of Families: Family is an important institution inside of the church. It seems that there has been a breakdown of the family throughout society. Let's pray for strong, godly restoration of families.

COLCC's 2022 Theme: We are praying for and expecting a lot. So, it makes sense to pray for our theme for the year..."Mission IsPossible"!


FASTING SCHEDULE

Monday

Pray for 30 minutes. Read the bible. Don’t eat after 8 PM. Even though it’s the first day, try to keep a journal of your experience. You may want to use this day to write down any challenges, situations, or other things that have been on your heart prior to the start of the fast.

Tuesday

Pray for 30 minutes. Read the bible. Don’t eat any meat. If you’re vegan, eat raw food only (you may boil or bake your food with no added seasoning. For instance, if you have a sweet potato, bake it and don’t add any sugar or cinnamon.) Don’t eat after 8 PM. Journal anything that happens or anything you feel spiritually—especially as it relates to the focus topics.

Wednesday

Pray for 30 minutes. Read the bible. Don’t eat anything until 4 PM. From the time you wake up until 4 PM, only drink water or fruit juice. Journal anything that happens or anything you feel spiritually—especially as it relates to the focus topics.

Thursday

Pray for 30 minutes. Read the bible. Do a Daniel Fast, which consists of fruits, nuts, vegetables, and water. Don’t eat after 8 PM. Journal anything that happens or anything you feel spiritually—especially as it relates to the focus topics.

Friday

Pray for 30 minutes. Read the bible. Don’t eat any sweets, drink any soda, or consume carbs. Eat vegetables and foods high in protein only. Journal anything that happens or anything you feel spiritually—especially as it relates to the focus topics.

Saturday

Pray for 30 minutes. Read the bible. This is a free day but please use moderation. Journal anything that happens or anything you feel spiritually—especially as it relates to the focus topics.

Sunday

Pray for 30 minutes. Read the bible. This is the last day and a free day but please use moderation. Journal anything that happens or anything you feel spiritually—especially as it relates to the focus topics. Look over your journaling for the last 3 weeks and see how you have benefited.
